Scenario #5 by Gabe Orton.

" Loving someone too much even though we know they won't be there in the future. "

I'm here, I'm now.
You're still smiling, somehow.
Above my flaws and above my mistakes,
You still stand here with all we have,
And I look into the pages,
I've turned the book around,
Trembling when you're not there,
Under the clouds, when I'm the only one,
Drenched by the rain, falling out of love,
But I'm here, I am now.
To caress every moment we share,
Cherish the sound of your voice,
And I sleep to your scent,
I live to your feel,
And I'm finding reasons for you to stay,
Longer than what we've read,
Somewhere down the road, it might not be,
And you'll smile and hold hands,
You'll love and bring dreams,
But not to me, never mine.
Not to me, never mine.

The skies are greying out,
And you find me in tears.
And when its still and silent,
You see me filling the quietness.
Like its the stillness,
The silence before the storm,
That puts us apart,
And I'm doing everything, to hold us together,
I'm burning pages, where we don't belong together.
And I close my eyes, like its a bad dream,
And feel you here, savouring every moment,
Who knows, tomorrow is a new day,
Who knows, tomorrow it could all change,
I'm here, I'm now.
You're still smiling, somehow.
Hold me tight, never let me go.
