Scenario #6 by Shedha Bashir

I asked for the stars on my palm,
Just yesterday, I was questioning your love,
When you pulled through the storm,
Called me louder than the lightning,
Shining for me, brighter than the stars,
And I kill myself, die inside.
FOr every thought that slides away from you.
And in my toughest of times,
I'm calling for you,
Just for the love you bring,
Bring me up to the top again,
Wash away the darkness, take away those memories,
And I breathe your love,
I feel it here, all around me.
Making me fall down to my knees,
And I kill myself,
I die for the thoughts that slide away from you.

I remember back in time,
Look for all that I ever did,
Just to make sense of all that I get,
By just being there, just holding you hand,
I have the world on my lap,
Waiting for me to say hello,
I have everything I'd ever ask for,
But I still try find my memories,
To every moment I might've made you smile,
Thinking back to every moment,
I might've just did enough to hold your tears,
To the times I did enough to deserve you.

Show me how you make me smile,
And I'll run away with you,
Show me all your tricks,
And I'll learn to have you here,
Speechless and so still,
I'm doing so much just to feel complete,
But I've never done much,
Enough to hold your hand,
Glide with the world around me,
And in my toughest of times,
I'm calling for you,
Just for the love you bring,
Bring me up to the top again,
Wash away the darkness, take away those memories.
