This pain doesn't suit you.
These tears and shivers,
This pain and your broken heart.
The tremble in your touch,
The weakness in your voice,
I've so much of you,
And this pain doesn't suit you.
This sorrow that reflects on you,
Take it away, put it off.
I've only seen you smile,
Laugh, glide and love.
I'm seen you cry,
In happiness and satisfaction.
I've wiped your tears,
And when they don't hurt,
They've wet my shoulder,
You've held me and we've laughed.
I remember your laugh,
So close to my ears,
So close to my heartbeat,
And it'd beat fast, faster than you'd feel.
Whenever you'd be here,
I'd force myself to breathe.
These tears and shivers,
I've held them at bay,
When you hold my hand,
I'd give you all of me,
And to make you smile,
To see you bright and shining,
One more time, I've held you tight.
This messy lock of your hair,
And how you've stuck yourself within,
And the look in your eyes,
They make you seem so lost,
So lost and lonely,
I'm fighting for the smiles,
I'm holding your hand,
And they've never felt so cold,
Am I too late?
Or is it never too late?
This weakness it doesn't suit you,
You my love, my angel.
For I've only seen you shine,
And when you smile, I smile.
And when you breathe, I try.
When you're here, I've held you tight.
And when you're near, these tears feel right.
