Story-telling

Tell me a story,
Of how I lost to you,
When we raced our words,
And I stammered,
I stuttered, when you spoke.
And I lost,
To your voice,
When we raced our words,
I swear, I could've said so much,
But to your voice,
I stammered and I stuttered,
For your voice,
I melted and I echoed.

Tell me a story,
Of the time we closed our eyes,
I promised,
I'd leave them shut,
My eyes, I promised you,
And in a heartbeat,
When we lay still,
Under the moonlight,
In utter silence,
I only heard you,
And your breath,
Speaking to me,
Of the time, we closed our eyes,
And I heard you,
In this cold, I burned,
And I burst.
With my eyes closed,
For you,
I was fire.
For you,
I was rain.
